Join us on a new 12-month quilting journey as we bring you a fabulous quilt designed especially for TQS by Sarah Vedeler. Sedona Star is a spectacular medallion quilt that features a beautiful center star surrounded by a charming array of appliqué elements.
Each month we will provide a photo and detailed directions for a portion of the quilt, as well as full-size patterns. Sedona Star finishes at approximately 88” x 88” inches. One version features a total of sixteen different print fabrics, including colorful shades of blue, pink, purple, yellow, red and gold; however, Sarah is providing another alternative color option and instructions for each month as well. Fabric kits for both colorways area available in limited quantities through the TQS Shoppe.
I was thinking mine needed more lime green and I see you added it to the corner applique colors, which I exactly where I was thinking it needed to go too!! I also wanted to put a darker background in the very center star, was thinking darkest purple but I do love your black!!

this is a JPG of the image I made in Flash. it's not 100% accurate to the pattern, just a close-enough approximation I made from the first photos released. what do you think of the black background?
WOW!!! Black looks GREAT!!!

Thanks to Sarah and Annis, I am now starting to audition colors in PhotoShop Elements! I just recently got this program and don't really know how to use it yet, but Annis' instructions in the printing the outline topic helped me figure out how to load in Sarah's PDF file, enhance the color of the outlines and begin applying colors to the pieces. This is so wonderful! I had already spent hours just coloring a few pieces with colored pencils so I'm very happy to be able to point and click instead!!
You are all such wonderful helps!!

before the instructions were even released, I traced over the first photo of the BOM in Flash, an animation program I am proficient in. I could provide a .fla of the outline if anyone else works in Flash(CS3 or4).
I'm gonna do the BOM with a black background. so stoked!!

So it looks like I will provide an uncolored PDF file that can be printed and colored by hand, a CorelDraw X4 version with a colored page (with the Fizz colors on it) and an uncolored page (so you can start coloring from scratch), and a JPG which can be worked on in Photoshop!
