Thanks all for your nice comments.
Annis, I admire your block even more now when I have tried that difficult method, but still I kind of liked the process.
All blocks are so special. Exciting what next month brings

Annis,
I'm burning the midnight oil just to get one block done this month and you've completed two! I think I've wandered into the big girls playground by mistake! Your mini-block is awesome!

I've been burning the midnight oil too. I'm sure I could have done the one big one in about the time it took me to do the 2 small ones but I don't need any more monstrous quilts right now. I just finished hand sewing the binding to the back of my king size BOM, all 436 inches of it. And I'm going to have to put 2 hanging sleeves on it which will be another 436 inches, but I'll use longer stitches so it won't take as long. I'm still not sure how I'm going to get a picture of it. Thank you for all of your nice comments. Everyone's blocks are looking great and I'm looking forward to the next round.

You ladies are so-o-o-o-o funny!!! Laughter is good for the soul!!!

Annis, your block is beautiful! I know about those 3/8" circles. I made 6 perfect ones, only to find out they were too small for my 5 petals to go under. It was either make 30 petals narrower at the attachment point, or only make 6 new center circles. I'm lazy! I went for the center 6 circles!

Annis, wow! That's a beauty! It takes a lot of skill to do a block that small.
