Thanks Margo, I only have one patchwork shop within a two hour drive and as I will be buy the fabric as I go along I could have planned ahead for a drive to buy fabric using the info from the colour chart e.g. star crazy has the colour swatch then the month the fabric is used etc etc, not a problem just one of those little things and thought to ask.

As betweens says it only 29 sleeps to the first blocks for 2011 BOM cant wait..........oops I mean only 23 days to xmas for our darling granchildren and to see the joy on the little faces as they open the presents.........

That stripe is one of the Beloved Beauties fabrics and I'll be giving instructions on how to "fussy cut" it for the miters. If you don't want to do that, you can always use the background fabric and leave a nice big area for some fancy quilting! Decisions, decisions!! This is gonna be fun!! :D

Margo I love the stripped fabric that you used around the first applique block it really gives movement to the quilt I am thinking that I might change that lattice boarder to be more of applique viney thingy so it reaches to those baskets. I want to piece those lovely baskets I love them so they will be one of the elements staying in the quilt for sure...eh :!:

only 3 more weeks and we will be celebrating our new years with the first block...can we wait that long...thank goodness for ufo`s this way I won`t start something else like that hugs and kisses quilt....that may be started in June when all else is caught up..

like one of the other members mentioned that four letter word keeps getting in the way (work)

Hi Margo can I ask In the 2010 BOM Hugs and Kisses in the "introduction Instructions" in the fabric chart it tells you what each colour is going to make, do you know if that will happen with 2011 BOM, I thought perhpas it may be in the January download, it sure would make it easier to work out your colours. :D :D :D

OMYGOSH! JoJo that would make an awesome alternate block for this quilt! I hope someone does that so I can see it!

They offer 12 embroidery designs and we need 24 baskets, so use different colors and stitch out 2 of each design! COOL!!!

I'm not sure, but I know that John is working on it. The last I heard, the Bear Essential line (that Sue used) may not be available until the middle of January because of a productions schedule. Nothing that TQS has any control over. That's one of the pitfalls of using brand new to the market fabrics!

I don't know when they will be taking pre-orders.

Margo, when I did Stars for a New Day, I really didn't enjoy paper piecing all those little tiny squares. And I thought when that quilt was done - NEVER AGAIN! I am wondering about maybe appliquing vines and flowers there? I think if I just get started and get that far, I'll come up with something. Because I really want to do that outer border and learn that technique. I am leaning towards doing this scrappy.

Appliqued flowers would be great! And maybe a blue bird?

Sherry you could also do embroidered basket blocks. I'll try to upload the picture but here is the link just in case the picture doesn't work.
