TOPIC: Wednesday Morning

Re: Wednesday Morning 15 Jan 2011 13:21 #53425

Lorchen, I think your photo there just put a smile on my face that is going to last all day! :D

Patsy, that is gorgeous! What a fabulous design...

Judy, you Floridians have really been hit this winter. With my south Florida connections, I often catch highlights in the Miami Herald newspaper online and know that even farms to the very southern tip have been impacted. :(

Oh my goodness Lorchen your granddaughter is just beautiful....those eyes would melt any heart for sure....did mine. Ladies I have enjoyed getting to know you as you blog your day with us here on TQS and look forward to learning more...welcome. To chime in....yesterday, Wednesday I ran around doing several little things all day and it sure felt good to be productive. Did some work on my round Robin block for my mini group....only need to stitch down the applique and then it is ready to pass on to the next gal.

Beautiful Picture Lorchen! Our Grandchildren are so special. I just found out that number eight is on the way for us!

My Wednesday was hectic as usual. Tough day at work but now I'm home and enjoying Chloe and Sammie. I hope everyone had a good day. I'm soooo happy that so many have found their way here.

Take care
Debbie

Hello to all of you from the Quilts Your Way board and any and all new friends we find here! I made it to this board and am happy to find you all here waiting for me! It will take some getting used to but I hope everyone makes it over here.

Lochen - your granddaughter is a real cutie! And obviously at the mobile and investigative stage! :D

I have been fighting a cold for 6 days now. DH got it on the way home from vacation and it only lasted 3-4 days for him! ARGH! I THINK it's getting better. Because of that, no progress on the binding of my Garden Twist quilt but I sure hope so by the weekend. Have an applique project I need to get going on for a charity quilt. The meeting is this coming Monday night. I need to show some progress.

I will have to update my profile here in the next few days for any of you that don't know me. :)

Went to work, came back, fell asleep on the sofa, checked emails, off to bed...... Doesn't sound like much, but it was a very busy day.

Best thing amongst the emails: Latest pictures of my 7 month old granddaughter:

Hello to everyone..... It wasn't as cold here today as it has been but I keep telling my friends if I complain this summer that its too hot to smack me upside the head! LOL I spent the day working on my current project.... a king size quilt for a friend of mine...I am doing it in 4 sections and have completed the 1st section.... am into the second section now but had to do laundry today also, so ony got 6 squares done. I'm going to try to add a photo here.... what I have done on it so far.

Have a great evening everyone!

Good afternoon everyone, coming from sunny (but getting cold) Florida. I heard today that we are the only state out of 50 that doesn't have some snow. I hope everyone is staying warm. My work computer has been out most of the day so I'm going to hit the road and go home and hopefully start tomorrow out better.

It's not morning anymore, but am chiming in. I went to a great class today. Dyeing fabrics with Mark Sherman. What fun and very little mess with his techniques. Will post pics in a few days when they are 'done' Sandi in FL

Since no one started a post for Wednesday morning, let me be the first!! This never happens!!

We dodged the snow again and only got an inch with a little icing in Northern Virginia. Thank goodness!! I'm still in shock over the hugh amount of snow we received last winter.

I am patiently waiting for my "quilting mojo" to return. I have two quilts that I need to finish for my brothers for their 50th birthday in March. They are identical twins! For Christmas I decided to try my hand at making jewelry for my friends and family. Most of them have already received quilts to I decided to try something different this year. I absolutely love it!! Although quilting is and will always be my "first love" I love how fast the jewelry projects go by. And, it's something I can do at night while watching TV with hubby.

Hope all of you have a safe and healthy day.
Take care,
Donna

Although I'm not part of your group, I'd like to chime in here.

Donna, if you read this thread: forum/i-need-quilting-related-advice/3944-mojos-gone-again
and this one: forum/i-need-quilting-related-advice/4097-quilting-from-the-soul
They address what you're feeling right now. I had no mojo whatsoever and my family here helped me find it and get excited about quilting again.
Hope this helps,

Donna,

I too live in northern VA and am VERY grateful we didn't have much snow this round. We had enough snow last winter to last several years! My thoughts are with those of you who ARE having much more snow than you ever want to deal with. Cheers.
