It's wonderful to hear what a wonderful time you've had, but it makes me want to be able to join in all the fun. Pictures are great but it sure would be nice to get to know one another in person.

I agree with you Pam, meeting up with everyone on Thursday and Friday was great I loved it! I'm just sorry I couldn't make it to the Friday meal.
When I've got myself together I will post a few photo's.......if I can remember how. I may have to wait until we meet up Pam and you can help me.
The quilts were lovely and enjoyed every minute of the show.
Happy quilting
Anne

I am exhausted and am helping DD get ready to fly to Australia later today, so I will post more another day.

Maureen, we ate at the Hilton Metropole as it seemed to be the most central to the NEC. We had a blast! Eight people getting to know each other better and spending quality time together. We shared confidences, put the quilting world to rights and all bonded really well. I can go to more local quilt shows and buy fabrics etc online, but NOTHING beats meeting other TQS friends like this :-) :-) :-)

I have been away and just got back yesterday. Everyone seemed to have really enjoyed themselves at the FOQ and meeting other TQS members.

Thank you Wendy for all the photos especially the ones that mattered which were terrific. What a lot of talented people.

You sold your quilt Rita – did you want to? It was a lovely quilt, very modern. Very well done.

Lorna it must have taken you ages to do the needle turned applique but well worth it in the end.

Lorchen your ½ square triangle one is great, mine is similar to it but is only about a quarter finished :D :D Your other one is beautiful as well.

Pam, where did you all go for a meal as you were all staying at different places?

Back home after 4 marvellously hectic days. Somebody working on the same stand as me said: 'Is there anybody who doesn't know you? They keep coming and asking for you.' She doesn't know the half of it (Giggle....) I was sitting in a wee workshop and as it was finishing and we were packing up, the quilter next to me, who had said very little during the workshop asked me if I was Lorchen from The Quilt Show. So, Bernadette, if you find your way here, it was great meeting you and I'll be in touch!

Rosemary, you look amazing, a very cute and slim little pocket venus!

Norma, you have got what it takes (and more), wink, wink! Let me know when I have to buy a hat! :)

Rita, I wonder if you are now a professional quilter, seeing that you sold your quilt. That is blooming amazing!

Some of us managed to have a meal together on Friday night, thanks to Pam's expert organisation. There was a woman sitting on her own on the table next to us. I'm sure she was listening to everything we said, and I bet we provided her with first class entertainment. The evening was pure magic.

I'm now 'cream-crackered', and haven't even emptied the car yet. Ah well, that'll have to wait till tomorrow. I desperately need some sleep.

Let's meet again soon! And if not before, I'll be at FoQ in 2015! :)

Amongst other things I discovered was that freezer paper was excellent for packing my lunch of Spanish omelette. So you can use it for food too - who knew? :P
Hope the QP don't come after me for misuse of quilting equipment

Wendy, How clever! Your right it's often a very good idea to look at things from a new perspective.

BTW, Everyone/Anyone, I have been having trouble with the links from my emails to the Forum. This morning I finally just gave up and went straight to View New Posts and got caught up with what's going on here. I am thinking it might be work on the new website causing this problem. Just sits and spins. I'd rather be quilting.

Rita & Lorchen your quilts are looking quite good I must say. They are better than good. Absolutely, gorgeous! Thanks so much for the post, Wendy.
