Quiet, talk radio, classical music, quilting podcasts and sometimes TV news in the background if I'm on the sewing machine. If I'm hand quilting, I like to watch a good mystery or an old movie. Judy in Torrance

I like working in quiet. Usually I can hear whatever DH is watching on tv-that works. Sometimes I'll listen to a book on cd. My job is just so darn noisy- I work in a casino and sometimes can't even hear myself think! So peaceful silence is my favorite environment.

I listen to Pandora quite a bit...and have lots of stations programmed in....some of my favorites are Il Divo, Jim Brickman, Tim Janis, and Selah. I also love books on tape and just finished "Wicked" recently. Loved it! Sometimes I like total quiet as well, like right now. :D

Food TV. Because it's the type of programming I can enjoy while not giving it my full attention. Or many kinds of music or just plain peace and quiet.

My sewing is normally done to a mixture of Village People, Bee Gees and Neil Diamond with a bit of Robbie thrown in, trouble is, with all the jigging about, rally hard to get an accurate 1/4 inch seam!  so when something needed for good sewing, John Denver!!! :)

When I'm up there thinking about quilting ( ) I usually have BBC Radio 4 on or Chillout compilation CD's or, best of all, the window open and just the bird song. (Not at night though, they're in bed then getting ready for the 4am start. :D )

I keep my radio tuned to country, but lately, I can't get enough of Mama Mia. I adore it and listen to many of the songs at least once a day, either sewing or while walking.

Have tickets to see Taylor Swift and Keith Urban August 2nd!!

Ballet Austin is doing Cinderella this weekend. I've been there Thursday night, Friday night, Saturday night and am working the matinee today. Now I want to borrow my daugter's copy of Ever After to watch when I'm sewing.

Mostly just silence so I can concentrate on my work and dream up my next project. Our home was the gathering place for all of the neighborhood children for many years and I'm enjoying my years without all of that noise. Sometimes I have HGTV or the news on but am working in another room so don't pay much attention to it unless there's a good news story or inclement weather.

For some reason, listening to the Eagles gets me going. DD gave me their Farewell Tour 1 from Melbourne, Australia a couple of years ago. It's 3 hours long and they sing most of my favorites. I've watched it so often I don't have to look at it anymore to know who's doing what. So, I listen.
Our cable company has Music Choice stations-from classical to hip hop. Depending on my mood, I can listen to any kind of music I choose.

I love 80s soft rock. Eric Harmon, Richard Marks, Brian Adams, Journey. Then there's the earlier stuff. Peter, Paul and Mary, Simon and Garfunkel, the Beach Boys. I loved ABBA years before Mama Mia came out. Ooops, just realized all that is really dating me.

I like a variety of music but I mostly like to listen to the Oldies motown. I have a itty bitty ipod and with huge head phones!
I Love girls put your records on! I Love Kenny Chesney. Rock & Roll, Country, Santana plays a mean guitar, you name it I like alittle of everything! I have a love of instruements before any lyrics kick in. I was raised around family playing guitars, piano, organs, drums, banjos, fiddle, harmonica. My Father and brothers had there own little band. This talent didn't rub off on me but I try playing around on my acoustic guitar! I pluck around and can make some neat noises!LOL. I thought I could learn easily because they all seem to pick it up quickly. Alot of my family has musical intruement talent/sings. I have Three Aunts that made a record,Christians. They have a website,The singing Gosbleaires. Delorus,Ela,Brenda. When I was a young girl Dad would make me sing the same song over and over while he played the guitar! On Top Of The World, Its written on our Camper,a good memory as a child. I Love the Carpenters. I was able to hold afew tunes back then, Not Today but I let it roll anyways!!! LOL
