I'm back home after having had a super time at FoQ. I managed to meet up with several TQS members, but only made it to the 1pm meeting point a couple of times because I was in workshops at the time. It was great to spent a whole day in the same workshop with Nicole who had come all the way from Belgium. We both have a very attractive project to finish off now. The quilts (main show and indivudual galleries) were very impressive, and I easily could have spend a fortune shopping, especially with the retailers from other countries that are normally not so eaily available to us. And I must admit I rather like handling fabric before buying it.

By the way: Ali and the crew of 'hanging volunteers' did an excellent job!

Quilters don't get old, just a little frayed aroung the edges.

Have fun actually seeing the show!

Thanks Amo, pretty cream crackered about covers it :D :D . Worth it of course. I was teaching today, fortunately nothing too strenuous, but I could have done with a lie-in. The hot bath last night did help with the aches and pains, if you're not used to standing all day, it's a shock to the system  Must be getting old :| :?

All the quilts were unpacked and hung on Monday and Tuesday, I was on my knees by Tuesday evening, but it was worth it. There are some fabulous quilts on show, I was part of the team that hung the Contemporary category, and there are some real stunners to look out for. I shall be visiting the show tomorrow, will try to get to the meeting point.

Jacky, don't forget plenty of bottled water. The air in the hall can get quite dry and you'll need to keep hydrated or you'll get a nasty headache.

See you next week!
