In 2010, TQS will treat you to not one, but two Sue Garman Block-of-the-Month quilts! Both quilts--one applique and one pieced--are bright and cheery, sure to be showstoppers on a bed or wall. Once again, Sue will offer lots of instruction and tips along with the patterns. Be ready: This is "the year of quilting" as Sue helps you enliven your quilts with many quilting options.

Don't miss out on the fun and learning available to you through the TQS BOM quilting community. Click here for the fabric requirements so you can be ready when we launch both patterns on January 1, 2010. (Word to the wise: We sold out our 2009 BOM quilts quickly, so be sure to get your 2010 kit(s) early by visiting the TQS Shoppe.) We are very excited to offer you this opportunity and look forward to you seeing your work as the year progresses.

I already have three months done, but I plan on doing Hugs and Kisses mostly in 2011. Sounds like fun to have a group to share with. Cheers, BJ

I definatley will be doing the 2010 in 2011. I don't have a star membership so I couldn't play along. Since I got the email today saying that the membership is free for everyone in December I was able to download the instructions for both bom for 2010. I'm so excited. I love the 2011 BOM but membership is not in my budget at this time so I'll be happily playing along with 2010 month by month.

How lovely! We're going to have quite a group working on Hugs & Kisses this coming year! Welcome, MAinMO! One of these days I hope to tackle the Bouquet for a New Day, but not this year. See, Sherry, I do have some limits

I plan to start Hugs and Kisses in January also. I will be doing machine applique on this one. I am just finishing the last block in hand applique on the 2008 Bouquets for a New Day. This is my first full hand applique quilt. I had only made one block in '95' at a beginning class then in Oct. '08' I started the first 4 blocks on Sue's quilt so I could practice hand applique for papercut blocks I would be making in group quilts due the middle of Feb. '09'. The majority of my TAS group does needle turn. Sue's quilt taught me to hand applique and now I really like it. I then would stitch a block when I had time the past 2 years. I am now working on the last block (October) that has 73 circles in it. I am finishing the last of the small 1/4 inch circles on the July block and doing the background star on the last block. One thing I can say is I have no trouble making circles or cutting close. I have all the fabric for the Hugs and Kisses ready to go so after Christmas I will start. I also love the 2011 quilt. I have promised myself to get much more of my own projects done than get involved in things for others when I finished the hand applique for my quilt group's current donation quilt . Lol. Time will tell.

Or, it's always an excuse to buy more fabric  ! Yes, Sherry, I probably am crazy, but still, I want so much to actually work with the group for this BOM -- I wanted to last year, too, but work and life got in the way. So, I'm trying to be more focused on quilting this year. I'm hoping that by telling everyone I'm doing this, I'll find a way ...

Okay, Robin - I am thinking maybe you should be called stir crazy - 4 BOM's! Oh my goodness! lol And Barbara, I've been downloading Hugs & Kisses all year so may start on it next year. I think it is a gorgeous quilt and I am working on getting better at needle turn applique. So one of these days I just might get started. My problem right now is that I am living in an RV until Spring and all my fabric is at home. For both Hugs & Kisses and the 2011 BOM, I wish I had access to my stash.

I'll bet your house-sitter could send it to you!! :D

Oh good, Barbara, I'm doing needle-turn on my Hugs & Kisses quilts, too! We really will be working together -- how fun! Good luck with your Christmas quilts!

Robin...You really sound determined, and a deadline is always good. Do you want to have one quilt done for the quilt show?
Well, I'm looking forward to our year of quilting along side you. I have a few more blocks to piece to for one quilt I have started, and then I want to add an applique border. Then there is a pieced quilt I want to start and of course the "Hugs & Kisses" and that I will needle turn. As long as one quilt is machine pieced and one is hand done I feel can do it. But, not till after the holidays. I have two First Christmas quilts to get done. These are for two great nieces that were born a day apart in August.
Have a Happy Thanksgiving Robin!
