No hurry, Heather. Was just concerned that with your move and all, that it may have gone astray. I think I'm the one with the red tiles which match my winter home in Wickenburg with the red tile roof

OK, I'm awake now! Glorious springtime here until the rain starts. I hope all are safe from the tornadoes and pray that Robin makes it home on time, flying around those storms.

Here's a picture of my gift from Nancy. Isn't it wonderful?!

Andree', yes, the sidewalks are everywhere in Brazil, and other designs as well. Most of the city sidewalks are of that wave pattern. It's delightful!

Jane (golfjane) I did receive yours and I just have not got the photo up yet I think. I have one from you, one from Nancy, and just got another from Debbie as well, but behind on taking & posting the photos. Sorry about that! They are all stunning!! My little butterflies seem so plain in comparison, but I am glad you all like them :) I thought it would be fun to show you the styles of fabric from Brazil -- the things used to frame the butterflies are all very common, typical fabrics that we would have. Although one I think got a fabric that is the clay roof tiles, which is actually a US fabric, of a Brazil theme :) I forget who got that one....

Norma, I did not know there were so many butterflies in that one! Lovely! And I'm glad it reached you already; they warned me it could take "two to three weeks" to arrive; glad it didn't take so long!

Dear dear Muggers,
I readily admit that I have pages of messages to catch up on, and that won't happen tonight!.

However, I must offer a big shout out of thanks to Nancy for a beautiful Easter mugrug that greeted me when I arrived home a little while ago from Paducah. It's beautiful and fits in with this fabulous spring weather here on the east coast.

I'll post a picture tomorrow, I'm still to wired to know what to do first right now.

I have a number of ideas for new mug rugs, a good thing since I owe a few!

Grinning.....

Heather, I hope your muggie didn't get sidetracked...it was sent the same day as Andree's so thought yours would have arrived easily by now.

Nancy, you did absolutely fabulous work with the feathers on that beautiful pink silk fabric. I'm going to practice just as soon as I get off this laptop.

The thread used on Heather's muggie is a variegated metallic by Superior. The fabric was too plain and I wanted to try a "whole cloth" idea so used parts of a template for the swirls, then quilted around them with the pebbles. It didn't take too long, just a bit slower due to the metallic thread--it does not like speed!!

The other is a fabric "coaster" made using 5 5" squares of fabric 4 of which are folded on the diagonal, laid overlapping each other on top of the 5th (which is right side up). Stitch around the outside edge, turn the whole thing right side out (or inside out, however you think about it) so that the unfolded bottom piece is now right side out, I stitch all the edges down but that isn't necessary. This is just a fun way to use those little 5" squares of fabric most of us have laying around. A set of 4 from the same fabric line makes a nice and quick gift.
