ah, thank you! I knew they weren't sunflowers, but the yellow kept saying that even though the shape was wrong, LOL! And then I thought daffodils, but I just do not know flowers well. They are so lovely though! Thank you!!
I have not tried Y seams since I first started, when I was doing everything by hand. On that block I ended up making the piece that needed the Y seams and then appliqued it to the background instead.
I think I could probably manage it now, if I tried, but I have thus far instead managed to come up with ways to sew things that mean I do not have to deal with them. I think I have Post-Traumatic Y-Seam Disorder, LOL!
