So what's platinum member status mean, and how do you 'get' or 'lose' Karma ...+ or - ?

I was trying to change the picture at the top of my profile page but it changed my avatar

Well that was a bit of a pain. it wouldn't let me upload both pictures together, I had to do one & post it and then edit the post to add the second one. Still they are nice and big on my screen.
