Thanks so much, Pam, for taking the initiative to email Limbania. I've been looking for her on the forum every day and it's good to find out how she is doing. Thanks for sharing.

I know that many of us have missed seeing Limbania on the forum. I private messaged her and thought that I would share her reply.

'Thank you for you message and concern. I miss everybody in the forum and can't wait to visit regularly.
Last chemo was pretty harsh and is taking me a while to bounce back. Also like you mention, with the lil'ones out of school there's added activity besides tests and doctors visits for the pre surgery stuff. Thankfully my Mom came from Mexico to help out and will be here until after surgery. Mark just got home yesterday (Friday) and now he'll take care of most things to give me a break and get ready for surgery on July 9 and catch up with the forum too ;)

Hope you're having an enjoyable summer and lots of happy stitches. Hugs and many blessings,

Limbania;) '

A beautiful package arrived today from the Royal Post. That's a first for me! Inside was a heart-warming package of goodies from Lorchen. Lorchen you brought a huge smile to my face yesterday, and again today as I took these pictures. Beautiful cross-stitch, beautiful fabric!!!! and Cadbury chocolate powder to warm the heart, soul and tummy. :D :D :D

Lorchen does it again! I just received this beautiful mug rug from her and just so exquisite down to every detail, you BadAss Quilter, YOU!

From a choice of colours I adore to delicate and subtle Asian fabric, the gradation of reds to pinks and a contrasting Navy blue (she even matched the thread color to the blocks in quilting!). The pièce de résistance of course is the beautiful cross-stitch pocket that picks up the colours of the mug rug! You really outdid yourself, my friend and I LOVE IT!!! :P

Renata,

You said it so well! I already thanked Lorchen for mine but I have to ditto your comments because you are right on.

Beautiful mug rug Renata. Lorchen your cross-stitching is fabulous. I have done quite a lot of it myself in the past and I know how long it takes to do. What a lot of thought and effort you have put into the mug rugs. :D

Charae, I'm glad that the little guy got to you and that you like him. I warned you that this one turned out 'bright'. :)

This forum is so much fun!!

I am going to the Vermont Quilt Festival tomorrow! Imagine a minivan load of 7 ladies! I'll report on how long it takes us at the border, as we are supposed to be in the USA for 24 + hours in order to bring back stuff. We do report all purchases cause you can't bring a sewing machine to jail, and the cell might not be big enough to hold our stash! However, my friends tell me that they usually each bring about $100, and the customs officers wink at it, but any more and they charge GST(goods and services tax) and duty. Nice customs officers - I hope!
Have fun. And good luck at customs with your stash! :D

Hi Terrie. I would love to exchange a mug rug with you! Just so you know though, I have never attempted to make one before. Email me your mailing address if you are able to add me to your list. :)

I spent the last six days exhibiting at a trade show in sweltering, hot Las Vegas. I got home last night and in the mail, to my delight, was my first mug rug and goodies...from Lorchen!!! It is beautifully bright and sparkly and I LOVE it! One more proud member of the "Serial Quilters" mug rug club. Thank you so much, Lorchen. You made my day!
