Re: Mug Rug Exchange - Do it yourself style! 23 Jul 2013 09:13 #107359

Well, I have been really busy with my job and found pages to go through this morning. Wow, what beautiful mug rugs floating around. I have been so busy I have not been able to work on mine. I hope to get back to them this week. Awsome work everyone on those wonderful mug rugs.

Jane - my bad - I received your delightful mug rug last week, but I hadn't got around to photographing it

Attachment {!-- ia1 -->CIMG7678.JPG{!-- ia1 --> not found

I know that I have some more mug rugs to photograph, but they have been at an EG exhibition, and I won't get them back until the weekend and I will be going away next week so I am not sure when I will get around to getting them all posted.

Every mug rug that has been posted here has been a delight to see, they are all so good 8) :D - now I really must get back to my quilting......

You just ask and then the answers come rolling in.
I'm glad that Lorchen's rug arrived safely.
Charae, I knew you were out of town a lot, so I was not worried about yours. Glad that you like it. You're right the fabrics are all my own creations as they are on mostly every mug I make.

Robyn, I knew yours were there. What I meant was you made a hexie rug that is very beautiful.

This thread is amazing. Terrie I follow your thoughts. Just one night sleeping and 3 pages to go through

Rosemary, I never thought I would love lizards, but this thread and your little creature has convinced me It's fabulous. When you have room on your list, I ask for a place on it (and Rita, the same said to you). It might be in 2016, that's OK!

I returned home from vacation late Sunday and found Ricky's BOM kit waiting. Yeah!!! Then today in the mail I got a beautiful Mug Rug from Lorchen. I will post pictures tomorrow. Thank you Lorchen. I really love the muggie and the towel with the flags and the dog. The British theme was extra special today since the new little prince has arrived. :) :)

Been away all day - three pages to catch up on - yikes!!!
I can't read that fast.

Will be away to London (Ontario) for about a week. Great quilting shop there with Kaffe and Liberty fabrics.
I received a new mug rug, but will post it when I get back. I suppose there will be a dozen pages to read when I get back!

Ciao!

PS!
And Welcome to the new little Prince!

Toni and Cindy--have you received your mug rugs from me. Sent the same time as Lorchen's and Charae's?

Well I used to hate hexagons  but not anymore - :D :D :D - LOVE them

That's funny, Robyn, because I used to hate them too, but once I saw how they were used in modern quilts and in Japanese folded patchwork, I'm really warming up to them! :D

Jane - I am just going to the post office now to send a little parcel over to you - hope it gets there quickly...not like my mug rug to Renata which seemed to go on a slow boat via the South Pole!

Rosemary,
Hope your muggie has arrived safely as it was sent the same time as Rita's and she's received hers. Just worry about the post sometimes. Been lucky so far and no problems and don't want there to be a first time.

Fab mug rugs today.
Nancy, I love roses and yours is beautiful. Love the colors you used.
Ritzy, you do fantastic things. I'm really impressed with all you have shown.
Lorchen, you are a master with your cross stitching. The colors are great.
Robyn, sorry I forgot you in the first round. It's a pretty hexie thing
By the way, I'm getting a bit nervous, because I sent your muggie at the same time as the one for Lotti. I hope it shows up soon.

And Marilyn, yours is on its way, too.
Hi Norma - yours arrived here a couple of weeks ago - you'll see it at the top of page 113 - I LOVE it....and there is no way Scampy boy is going to sit on it! :D
