Hmm...I love my BSR on my Bernina 830. I can concentrate entirely on the quilting and not have to think about stitch length and so on. I guess I need the training wheels still.

Terrie--praying for your family.
None of the mug rugs I have made are perfect, but, like the others have said--I am having fun and trying new things and some are good and some I have to force myself to send. I have enjoyed this summer of creativity. One more week and then back to school so I am trying to get the last four muggies done before that. I will be traveling to Missouri(about 5 hours drive) to help Beccah with some redecorating in her new home. I will try to keep up with all of you but sometimes it is hard even when I am on more than once a day.

Leave you all to your own devices and come back to pages and pages full of beautiful mug rugs & puddy tats! I thought it was mice that got to play whilst the cat was away, not the other way around

Ritzy I would love to swap mug rugs with you. I just need to get around to cutting up a few more hills to sew together as leader & enders - I've a few more horses to go, and there are some other hill sculptures too that I have been finding out about. I am also delighted that you got to enjoy a bit of British quilting history.

Lotti thanks for the spiral eye needle, it was great for finishing off all the ends I had created so far on C-Red Handed.

Terrie, my thoughts are with you in your supporting role for your sister and her family.

I agree with Jane and Marilyn! My Bernina 830 came with a stitch regulator and every once in a while I pull it out and try it again but the truth is I have better control (as long as I practice  ) without the stitch regulator.

Condolences, Terri. Take care of yourself too.

Agree with Marilyn...stitch regulators aren't at all what they're cracked up to be...the one on my Bernina is rarely used, and the one of my new Juki long-arm isn't used either. Do much better just finding my own speed with which I'm comfortable, then continue driving.

Rita, I looked very closely at yours, and decided you had a stitch regulator. LOL

Well, we all have to start coloring within the lines, and it comes more easily for some than others

And, don't we just love our kid's first attempts at being artists? My fridge is full of 3 - 6 year-old art work and I love it to bits!

Also, I am learn :!: ing lots and lots!
