It's here! Yahoo! I love it, Marilyn! The sweet little Angel Kiss Cherries label, the parse quilting, the tiny ric rac, and the amazing free motion! I love it all, including the wonderful hand made card. Thank you so much. It's gorgeous!

At our quilt guild last night, we were challenged to each do a mug rug for our show in May. They suggested a 6 x 9 inch. We are not allowed to bring it until the show to make it more interesting. I think I will bring my TQS ones for our next meeting for Show and Tell. It surprised me that many of the ladies did not know what a mug rug was. I am not sure how big my finished ones are. I did not measure them. Big enough for the mug and a snack. I need to get busy and finish the last two and then get them all mailed. I wanted to mail them at the same time. I have no idea why. :? :?

Lovely mug rug Marilyn - enjoy Vicki.

My mug rugs have all been different sizes - it depended on what I was trying to do. Stay safe Geneva. Hugs.

Praying for safety for you and the firefighters.

I make most of mine about 6"x8". The key words being most and about. In other words--whatever the design decides to be. The other ladies make theirs bigger than mine--at least from the ones I have received they are bigger. So, according to the first post--do it yourself style. The reason for the size I do is the envelope size that I use. If you use a 6"x8" envelope and make sure there is no metal clasp on it and send it correspondence(fabric postcard), in the States it can mail for about $.50 and overseas about $1.30 and no custom forms to fill out.

If you want to join us I would be will to exchange with you. Let me know.

Hi Geneva -

There's no real specific size for the mug rugs. In my mind, I just think about bigger than a coaster and smaller than a placemat. Mine have been around 8" square so far, which fits nicely in the mailing envelopes that I purchased.

Ok, I know this is a stupid question and is probably in the 4,293 pages of mug rug forum, but what size are mug rugs? You are all having so much fun and the mug rugs are so very creative.

Our American fire outside of Foresthill is providing us with lots of smoke. Yuck. It's 45% contained after a week. Over 14,000 acres. I hope they are able to get it out soon. My heart and thanks go out to the fire crews everywhere.

Take care friends!

Yesterday I received a beautiful Garden Scape mug rug from Marilyn. The picture does not do it justice. It has beautiful echo quilting and tiny ric rac. There was a lovely handmade card that came with it.

Thank you Marilyn.

:( Just got my mail (4:49pm) and your package wasn't in it today. The minute it comes I'll let out a whoop loud enough to be heard in Idaho!
USPS transit time is a puzzler. I can get mail to the east coast in 2 days, but sometimes it takes a week to get to Southern California from the San Francisco Bay area.
Oh, well. La De Da. Tomorrow is another day.
