Glad you like the mug rug Lorchen

Ritzy, the lighthouse was already painted onto a fabric I got at IQFOI last June. I know Lorchen likes lighthouses so it seemed fitting. I stitched around it to give it a more 3D look. I also stuck a little diamonte stone in the top of the lighthouse so that it would occasionally flash as Lorchen walks past it. Hope it doesn't get in the way of the single malt glass.

Lorchen, I am reliving my Scotland/Ireland trip of fall 2012 thanks to your calling out the various names of scotch. I don't drink scotch which makes my husband very happy! He got all my samples! This last picture is especially for Maureen. The glass you see (notice the dogs!!! Click on picture for larger image) is one of a set of 6 (5 have survived) that belonged to my late father. I can remember them being used when I was very little, so I guess they are from the 1950s (proper 'vintage', but not valuable). My older son told me very clearly some time ago that I better look after them because he wants to inherit them. I told him that I'd try, but that they would get used. I don't hide 'stuff' that I like.
