Hi Whispers, I thought I would let you know that I have received Marilyn's CW quilt from Limbania through Lorna. I am sure you can hear the sigh of relief from both Marilyn and myself :D :D :D :D Limbania also put in some beautiful fabric for me, what a lovely surprise. They are Alaskan and Arizonian fabrics, which needless to say I have never seen before. Once I finish stroking them and put them into something I will think of her. Now just the UK ones and we are done but I won't worry about them for a few months. I am still waiting on some labels and the 100 words ladies     I am a pain in the ... aren't I

In answer to your question Rita, I haven't a clue  I just want to get them joined up into a larger piece of fabric instead of lots of teeny weeny ones, then I will have a rethink.

A great thing to do with the scraps Rosemary. What will it eventually become?

A little birdie told me that it's Renata's birthday today.

Scraps found in my clean up

as you can see, I've already made a drunken line of flying geese from some of them. I think that I will turn the others into hst's with the peach fabric in the top right hand corner, just for the heck of it and then see what happens...

Renata, I love your sock quilt. Did you make it? How about a full picture of it. Please! :)

Oh Carole, it's so good to know I am not alone in seeing things back to front! I am doing the smaller version too and had my calculations all wrong so I only have 100 to do as well. That meant that I only had to redo 1/2 of my chevrons. It wasn't too difficult really, I just folded them over sewed the line on the opposite side and then ripped out the line of stitching on the opposite side. All done now and ready for next week. Did you save the little bonus triangles? I did and now have a lot of 1 1/2" HSTs. They should come in handy for something, somewhere, sometime. :D

Rita, I also sewed several of my Celtic Solstice chevron blocks the same way you did. I was doing mine in batches of ten, and within one batch I had some that were one way and some the other way. I couldn't figure out what I was doing wrong!!! Fortunately, though, I only had to rip out four of them. I'm making the smaller version of the quilt and have done 50 of the 100 chevron blocks so far. I was much more careful on the next batches!
