Finally got to the 'puter, after crashing out this afternoon, after Wendy dropped me off at 10:30 am.
I would just like to reiterate that it was a
vegetarian chicken pie (honest!) since the chicken head was made out of vegetables - maize, artichokes, carrots for the beak, a cauliflower for the eye and grapes for the wattles. Heat-n-bond to stick it down and raw edge fmq to hold it. The pie crust was shot silk, bagged out and crimped using a traditional 'Marlow' pattern from using a teaspoon to make the 3 arches.
I also had to scrounge some pale indigo scraps from Maureen for my sky - and Lorna following on from our discussion about how can you tell if it is a sunrise or a sunset - having checked out sunrise skies this morning - I think it has to do with the quality of the blue, rather than the skyblue pink colour, the sunrise blue is softer than the sunset blue.
We all had a brilliant time. Thank you again, Wendy, for driving. That is what made it possible for me to go. I checked in our 2013 map book this afternoon, there are a lot more roads on it around Glasgow, than you had on your 2000 map book
Still we arrived safely in the end.
I will try & find out how to move pictures about onto this new computer and post some up this week.
To Maureen,
'the Wee Yin', from the
'Wee-wee Yin', there is a good chance we might be able to meet up again, as DH really wants to come up & bring the canoe - the square sausage & map of Loch Lomond were much appreciated by himself.
