Very good for a practice piece Wendy. I keep telling myself I must practice, practice, practice with my FMQ but never do, maybe after June I will try.

Ice cream, but because the rabbit is a bit on the small side, I also make fizzy green jelly 'grass' to go around it - I would be in serious trouble from the Birthday girl is there isn't any fizzy jelly  (especially needed for some left over for breakfast the next day    )

Aw I've got a jelly rabbit mould. Are they having ice cream or blancmange with it? We have blancmange with Christmas dinner :D

We might get things changing next year after she goes up to secondary school, in the meantime it is the traditional kids party - pass the parcel (with about 20-30 layers   one year it went on so long they got bored and stopped to play something else and then went back to it later!) and Izzy's favourite of 'hunt the thimble' etc. I had better not forget to make the jelly rabbit tomorrow morning...

Nice feather by the way, just a few 100 more and you will have it off pat  (says she who dursent try)

That's what I'm thinking Rita, presents for my quilty friends. One has a birthday coming up soon.

It's going to be a real challenge Rosemary, your thimbles as so fine and intricate. As for the kids forget parties once they're school age and send them off to the cinema, you must be crazy!!

Norma the challenge is to do three challenges by October so I may manage that in between all the mug rugs and postcards and other swaps I do. I like the current one for developing your feather skills. Mine are pretty wonky at times but I really want to be able to make them smooth and curvy and individual. Show yours as well :D

No time for rehab here - I've still got a birthday party to organise and run on Sunday. 6 little darlings enjoying themselves at the top of their voices (it could have been worse, but 3 weren't able to make it - phew!) And it doesn't stop there, I then have to try and get organised for teaching thimble making on the 4th Sat of April, and I am dying to get on with some piecing & quilting of either mug rugs or CR-H. quilt.

Come on now Rosemary, 'fess up - you had to go into rehab for a week after the party at Limbania's didn't you? Your Amy Winehouse impersonation was very entertaining though! I'm still singing it in my head..."they wanted me to go to rehab, I said no, no, no!"

That is such a great little quilt Terrie. Irish people are even more serious tea drinkers than British ones - and we like it STRONG!

As for the weekend Wendy, I am making a mug rug for each of my parents whose 84th birthdays were in the last two weeks. I will post a photo when done. Then I have to start on the BOM applique. I hope you all have a good one. :D

Kettle calling Pot. All polished here. Send colour state. Over.

Actually I was quite sober :P , and visited Stonehenge and Avebury in the Vale of the White Horses and came back with some great inspiration for mug rugs... :D

Wendy, I just saw this morning, that The Free Motion Challenge is going on this year and now you show this. There are some brilliant examples there. I have to reconsider signing up again.
Will you show yours?

Oh! That's darling Terrie! Thanks for sharing. DMIL is a tea lover and something like that would be perfect for her. :D
