The American museum in Bath is on my to-do list and I just might get there this summer because DH will be working in the town. Yipee! :D

I love the V&A and always visit any time I am in London. Even the shop is delicious.

However the V & A museum in London, currently has it's textile gallaries closed for re-location, see here for fuller details
http://www.vam.ac.uk/content/articles/t/the-clothworkers-centre/. But it will be marvelous in a couple of years time, because so much more of it will be accessible to more people.

Terri, there are a few museums that hold quilts in the UK.

http://www.quiltmuseum.org.uk in York, http://www.americanmuseum.org in Bath, http://www.vam.ac.uk in London and http://www.friendsofbeamish.co.uk/quilting/index.html in Beamish, Co. Durham are but a few.

If you google quilt museums in the UK a lot of museums come up that house quilt collections. Look for the Ulster Folk Museum in Belfast and museums in Glasgow and Edinburgh. Phew, that will keep you busy for a while

After going through about 29 pages of this forum, I can't seem to find my number. Is it 13c? They are done, and unfortunately not one color way...didn't follow directions too well, just used my scrap strip bins.
Christine, there are all sorts of varigated threads now, so I am sure they are beautiful. I will be happy to get one of yours. :)

There is a quilt museum in York?

All the more reason to convince my DH to go to Britian this summer. We've been thinking...and if this dream comes true, then I'm gonna ask all you dear British ladies where all the quilt shoppes are. Maybe you could meet me there?

Wow Rosemary;

I didn't realize there was a Quilt Museum involved with the sorting! Maybe I should go on line and see what it would cost me to fly to England and help ya'll out, eh?? Just joking but it sounds wonderful!!

Latest News From Headquarters

To date there have been 81 out of 123 sets of reels received here in England and there are 9 days left to get them in the post!

The sooner everyone's arrive the sooner Lorna & I can get together and go visit the York Quilt Museum (oh, and finish the sorting to post things back  )

I'm with Crocus, licorice allsorts, YUM! Both reels look delicious!
Much better suggestion than mine - definitely a Bertie Basset Liquorice Allsorts 8) - I haven't had any of those in ages, guess I will have to go and get some now that I have been reminded

Christine, I just thought of something else, have you checked through your old emails? That's where I found my numbers when it was time to mail my reels. When Rosemary sent me an email to confirm that I had a slot, she gave me the numbers in the same email.

Is Rosemay "posiep"? Because I just sent her a message

Yep, she is PosyP. You've done what you need to do! She is in England, though, so her schedule is way ahead of ours in the states, about 9 pm there now, I think, so you may not hear until tomorrow. :)
