Annis, it's gorgeous. I love the way you combined HST's and strips into one quilt. It shimmers!

My batik quilt is going to the quilters today so thought I'd better take a picture first. As much as I would like to quilt it myself, I know I don't have the time for hand quilting and my machine quilting is mediocre and this quilt deserves the best. It doesn't have a name yet. I've got lots of time now to decide on that. The bed was in the way of the picture so I did the best I could. I will get a better one when it's completed.

Oh excellent! That's a great purchase. I've been wondering how you two liked the blocks.
Thank you so much for all your work. I continue to have alot of fun with my HSTs.

Patti,

Dawn explained the story behind your very clever palm of the hand block and I love it! Thank you so much for doing it.

Can someone make something besides a quilt and be in the book. A tote for example?

Karen,

I believe anything that anyone makes from any of our three exchanges should be acceptable for Carol's memory book. There were a lot of SoTTT participants who only wanted to exchange low numbers like 28, 56, 84, etc. and those are obviously not enough to make a quilt.

In reality, it's all about our newfound sisterhood and brotherhood and not about how small or how large your project is. And knowing Carol and how wonderful she is, I'm sure she will love to have as many projects as possible in the book.

Go for it and please don't hesitate to send the pics to Carol

Thanks everyone. I think a tote would fit under "etc". :)
If it doesn't it's no big deal.

Good point, Rosemary! Here is what page one says:

1. Submitting your entry

a. The subject line of your email should include the words "SOS SoTTT/Batik Exchange Project-My Submission.

b. Attach photos of your project (quilt, table runner, wall hanging, etc.) to your email.

Send 2-3 full-view digital photos of your project.
Send 2-3 detail photos showing the quilting used in your project.
Send a photo of the label on the back of your project.

I was planning on writing up about the Sorting Hats, I'm sure Carol put something about non-bed quilts in the original instructions. If all else fails you could always refer back to them at the start of the book thread

Karen, I'm pretty sure that a tote will be fine, but I'll send her the question and let you know what she says! :D
