How about making up a border pattern using the Baptist fan as the base for the pattern?

I'm getting there. Working feverishly this last week on quilting. I decided to do Baptist Fan quilting over the HSTs. I am more than half way done with that. I haven't yet decided what to do with the border and whether to treat all as one or do something different on the inner red and cream border and something else on the outer brown and red squares.

Dawn - yes there is a bit of poetry on the back of my quilt, along with a certain doggeral song and letter of introduction. They seemed to be as much part of the exchanges as the hst's, for me
