Margo - Absolutely lovely! Brilliant design.

I have this urge to look for my own HST in it - thankfully the photos are too small or we'd probably all be glued to the screen searching in vain for hours!

Margo, it is wonderful! You are an amazing quilter! I am still removing paper and bunny ears! Just such a busy time of year for me... oh well, I'll get it done sooner or later.

Gorgeous, Margo!! I like the luminosity throughout due to the lights and darks. I have started playing with mine and will only get back to the studio next week. I also loved reading your interview.
cheers

I love it Margo. I can do this! I loved looking for the missing red square. Took me a couple of minutes. Like looking for "Waldo". :)
I don't have many, only 366, but I think I only want to use the exchange HSTs in mine. It will just be small. Maybe wallhanging? Not good with figuring how big it will be finished if I go with Margo's design.

The center part of my quilt finished at 60" x 60". It used 100 9-patch blocks (two lay-outs) with 450 HST and 450 solid (red, green and khaki) squares.
The red and khaki borders add another 8" to each side.
The pinwheel border used 320 HSTs and brought the finished size to 84" x 84" and the last 2" border made it 88" x 88".

So my layout requires 770 HSTs, but it could certainly work in a smaller size!

I would love to see some other versions! :D The colors you choose for the solid squares and the borders can make the quilt look entirely different!

Wow, Margo! You are done with the piecing! That was fast! And, I haven't even ironed mine open yet! I like the white on the HSTs. I did not not think I would like the stark white ones in a quilt, but they tend to give a feeling of brightness or light to the overall design. A kind of sparkle! Very cool!

Your quilt top is just beautiful. I wouldn't change thing. I believe the the Amish quilts always have a mistake for they believe that nothing is perfect.
I am doing the Constellation Throw from Edytas's Friendship Triangles book. I need 12 triangles plus 4 plains per block. I just made 12 piles and I use them as they come, I could go nuts arranging but I think it looks great and this way I am just working with the 12 different triangles.

Again your quilt is beautiful.

BEAUTIFUL!! and I wouldn't change a thing :P When I finished my first quilt I spotted a blooper and decided that every quilt I make will have some imperfection! Adds interest and lots of discussion about where it that intended "blooper".

I am always amazed at how quickly you get things done :mrgreen: Thanks for sharing and being such an inspiration :D :D

Margo;

Stunning; Love it! Boy, you don’t waste any time! I still have to iron a few more & still take papers off. A little slower I think. Can’t wait to see how you quilt it!
