To a fellow Louise;

(My middle name is Louise, after my Grandmother) Your latest quilt is beautiful, as all of them have been! Red is my daughter’s favorite color & the way this one has been put together is just gorgeous!! You and your sister’s have so much talent! Your giving spirit will be rewarded I am sure :lol: Bless you and all your sisters for your tireless creative quilts that you are giving to those in need :lol: :lol: :lol: :lol: :lol: :lol: :lol: :lol: .

Everyone have a safe 4th of July! How fitting to display a red quilt!!

All I can say is WOW! I love the cheerful colors. I love the boundless energy you have for the project. I love the kindness you are showing to the victims of the earthquake. It is obivous that they are "fighting a hard battle" but at the same time I know you and all your friends who are working on these quilts have hard battles of your own. Bless you. Bless those who lost their homes. God bless us all for supporting one another. Lois Bruno

Way to go, Louise! Your group is certainly moving along on making those quilts. This one is another winner. I love the red.

It's great! And it is very similar to the layout I'm doing.

Good morning all,
The latest quilt completed by Jenny (my main helper) is made mainly with red hst's - not a good photo, it is a single bed size.
Cheers,
Louise

Thanks, Margo, I entered the quilt in The Villages (Florida) quilt show in Jan and received a 1st place and the Viewer's Choice award. I was thrilled. The quilt was fun but also a challenge. I learned several new things--but loved the process. Lots of HST in that pattern too!!

My Medallion quilt is ready for the long arm quilter. I did use a little bit of a plan for the quilt. I was in both exchanges, so decided to put my 2 Alex and Ricky hst's in the center. I surrounded them with Edyta, Margo,Debbie, Clara and Ritzy. My batik group was smaller and came first so they went next. I held my breath and just started adding which ever one I picked up. This was scarry for me, but it didn't look bad! Now with more confidence I just kept adding with no plan. It works!! I received more purples and browns, so I did save the browns for the last row. I added two extra rows and probably would have done more, but I ran out of design wall. I know I do not have an hst from everyone, but I am sure the love from each of us is tucked inside. Have you heard of healing quilts? Well this is mine. When I have a bad day or bigger problems come along, I'll wrap up in my quilt and feel the strenght from each of you. Thanks dear sisters and brothers of the traveling triangles!!!!This has been such a wonderful journey!!!My LOVE to each and everyone of you!!!!Now wish me luck with adding pictures.

The quilt looks great!! I know how hard it was for you to be "scrappy" but it turned out terrific. I need to get started on mine--and will soon!

Patti, yes your new profile picture is wonderful. It truly takes a strong will to accomplish what you have done and are still working on. You are still the same wonderful person on the inside but your body is going through some amazing changes. There is no greater support community then here. Keep it up Patti.

Louise, you and your quilting friends have hearts bigger than the universe and can produce beautiful quilts faster than rabbits can multiply :!: :!: :mrgreen: All of you are helping to bring joy to many people who need all the love and support they deserve after so many natural disasters touched their lives. May all of your lives be filled with the same joy you bring to other people :!: :lol:

Louise, your latest quilt is wonderful. It does look very soft and inviting. I'm sure the couple you made it for will love it. I very much admire you and your sewing buds for what you're doing. Best wishes for good things to come your way!

Louise every quilt you all are producing is a winnner and one the recipients will be be proud to own and show off and that's BEFORE the story behind it.
This sounds like a great couple to get this one and I know it's going to be a life long story for them.
