We will prabably still be snowed in tonight it is freezing rain it is always bad on guild night. Keep sharing the excitement when you receive yours it keeps us going knowing there is hope for ours to arrive. Joan

This made me smile.. I was looking through my many magazines today for a quilt pattern for some hand applique.. going to be away from my sewing machine soon... and had just seen this very page in the magazine.. It is one of my favourites and absolutely love your purples!!

Cath, I just looked at your profile, not that I should be surprised but I'd never heard of "Virginia" in Australia! my BIL is from southeast of Melbourne so I'm a bit familiar with Victoria but not much more. So we can be "Virginia" sisters maybe!! Did you mark your HST's? I'll go back & look, I know I got several from OZ!

Must go now & work on the layout, I realized I'll be at a conference for 3 days next week and my Featherweight is just dying to go with me, HST blocks would be a perfect travel project!

OK, I'm still patient and hopeful that my HSTs will arrive but I'm wondering how many of you are also waiting. :?: The last batch was mailed on 4/21 from Texas and I'm in New Mexico. Wouldn't you think I should have them by now :?: :( :(
I did a bulk of my mailing out on Monday and had a few remaining for Tuesday. There was a few US packages in the Monday bunch. About 10. I believe 100% of the packages are in route or in the quilters hands. Clara :D :D :D
I'm still waiting, but spending the time playing with all my batiks. I have set my expectations for Canada Post very low, so maybe by Victoria Day weekend, I'll have them. (Closest weekend to May 24 - we still celebrate Queen Victoria's Birthday - get the Monday off - except here in Quebec they don't like to celebrate the British monarchy, so they call it "Fete de Dollard" some famous french guy - and we still get the day off!) Speaking of a Monarchy, is anyone interested in the wedding of Prince William and Kate Middleton? Any loyalists out there? What would a 'royal' quilt look like? I'd say silk. Wow!

Thanks Clara, I was thinking that Debbie had mailed all the US packages. Hopefully it will come this week but I won't be able to acknowledge receipt until Monday or Tuesday. Still smiling :) :)

Barbara Ann

I still haven't received my package BUT today I got a little pink slip in the mail to pick up a package at the post office tomorrow after 9:00 a.m. I'm so excited and I'll let all the SOTTs know tomorrow if I can do a happy dance, too. :D :P

:( I don't have any of the brothers--just sisters--but then I sent a small amount so that is why. What I have is great and I have done some trading so that has been fun too.

NOW PLAYING ON YOUR DAILY BLOG!!!!

Has anyone had a chance to watch Margo's video on today's Daily Blog? You'll need to scroll down a few articles to find it. She shows us the correct way to press our HSTs open and then remove the papers so they don't become distorted. Very, very helpful...thank you, Margo!
Margo, I just viewed your videos and they are wonderful. It is nice to put a voice to your picture. You have such a pleasant voice and you are an A-1 teacher. You are always so good at explaining things and your demonstrations in the videos are excellent. I hope you make more videos in the future. :) :)
