Chapter 3 here we go. Maybe when I rewrite my quilt life it will get posted here. When the tow truck driver cane the other day, I must have hit something wrong and lost it in cyber space. Katie Gomez

Yes, it is my sorting hat giving me big hints that we need to get on with this sorting because quilts have to be made. The Sorting Queen :( :( :(

Clara I do hope that hat didn't say that he is 'The Hogwarts Sorting Hat', because if he did he is an imposter and a fraud, A Con-Hat! and I bet he doesn't know a half square triangle from an equilateral.

Where as, I have it on best authority that The Hogwarts Sorting Hat is UNABLE to come :!:

Despite this, hearing of your predicament, he has arranged for Sorting Assistants to come to your aid, who are ready and willing 'Get Sorting' and ensure that you have 'The Right Numbers'

Good evening ladies,

I am Nancy from North Carolina and I want to share a couple of photos of something I made during this exchange. We're all so excited about making and exchanging the HSTs, but during this time, I have a friend who has developed pancreatic cancer. I had some of the papers left that I bought from Edyta for our exchange project, so I made some more HSTs and made a prayer shawl for my friend. I used Edyta's pattern for the Tree of Life for the middle back of the shawl and her Friendship Baskets for the ends. The triangles in the baskets represent all of the friends and well wishes who are involved in my making of the prayer shawl. I don't really machine quilt or machine applique as a rule, but thought it best so we could get the present to our friend. I will make something wonderful from our exchange and share that later on, but wanted to show my exchange friends what has been going on even before the sort. Y'all have happy week.

Really beautiful Nancy. I am sure your friend will love and treasure it.

From the uneducated (non quilter) it could look like it is full of trash. Humm. Need to clean it out. Clara

A quilt I made for a close friend battling cancer is posted in my profile called "Surrounded by My Family." My friend died this past Friday. She really suffered over the last 5 years. She was so happy with the quilt (If you look at the picture what looks like flowers are kaleidoscope photos of her children and grandchildren) she showed it to everyone who visited her. I am so grateful to have had her in life.

Nancy,

The prayer shawl is so beautiful and what a wonderful gift for a special friend. I can't wait to hand out the gifts you sent for our sorters, too.

Thanks Margo - coming from your talented self - that means a lot. I would say I enjoyed making the project and did, except for the reason. Nancy
