I got my HST's a couple of weeks ago and yesterday got my Ricky one in the mail. Ricky's was my favorite colors bluish purple! Perfect pick! Thanks so much Ritzy for all your and your helpers hard work. I've looked at all of them and just amazed at all the places they came from. I have a quilt on the design wall so havn't started playing with these yet. hmmm....I could put that flanned back up in the hallway for a second wall though.
 I will probably wait and see what I get with the SOTT's before I decide for sure what I am going to make. Hope all are having a great day. Sandi in FL |

Terry, You are allowed to open it, look through your hsts, admire and fondle them, and then put them back in the envelope and put to one side for a future date like I did. Or dont you have the willpower to put them to one side

I have an unknown as well--maybe they came from the same person. I layed them out last night and was amazed at the variety and beauty of the fabrics. Now to decide on a project.
Dawn -- we are in for snow and they say it is coming north from Colorado and up through Montana. Please feel free to stop it if you want!!!  |

Well, now that some of the Canadians have received their HSTs, I can yell, I GOT MINE, TOO! I actually have had them for about a week, and have really been trying to ignore them for other things I should be working on, but today I succumbed! I layed them all out (unopened) and took pictures to document all of the names, and countries, etc. I cut two down that were 2 1/2" square rather than 2", but that works! And, I got one with two darks sewn to the light, so will unsew it and resew it, and add the extra dark to a light of my own and consider it a bonus HST!
And, I may take a picture of the one with no name and say, "Is this yours?" I would hate to not have that person not listed in the documenting of the HSTs!  Next , I will press them open, then cut them as previouslly noted earlier in the "What pattern are you planning for your HSTs" thread. I think it is on page two. Then PLAY with them! Anyone interested in a potholder swap? I participated in one last year & it was great fun. The sky's the limit since you will decide all the issues...color/size/shape/theme/and so on with your swap partner. I'll be the monitor...it's easy to join. Yippee I received my package of HSTs in the mail today!
My husband tried to trick me and hide them but I could tell by the twinkle in his eye when I asked if they were in the mail that they had arrived. I haven't had time to look at them yet as I just got home from work but am excited to see everyone's name and fabrics. Thanks Ritzy for all your hard work to make this exchange happen. |
