TOPIC: How I organized my sewing room

eileen 09 Aug 2007 14:49 #7278

I am up on the top floor, the room was an attic, the roof was at the heighth of the angle you see in the pictures, we extended the room and raised as much of the roof as we could.

I brought the sewing table out 32" so when I stood up I did not hit my head. The cutting table side is tall enough to stand and cut fabrics. I can't fit my ironing board in there anymore but made a small board and placed batting and muslin on it and iron that way.

I love having my own space and can leave it messy if I want, and don't need to vacumn if I don't want. Yea!!

QueenNonna,
Your sewing room is great! What floor of the house are you on? Looks like a dormer area.

Thanks so much I went back to see what I had done and yes I gues I did not click submit. Also noticed that I had not added a picture. I was probably in to much of a hurry.

That happened to me too, but I found that if I click "Submit" at the bottom of the update profile page, the new headings appear. Hope this helps. Marge

Your pictures are there and I love your sewing space. The descriptions of the pictures, though, still have the information from the pictures they took the place of. I had that same problem when I changed my pictures, too, and I can't remember now what I finally did to get the new descriptions up, but I remember having to do it more than once!

Several views of my sewing room/studio can be seen at:

That room is one of the big reasons that we bought this house. :)

Momoffour-

Your quilt room is wonderful! (As are your quilts!) I love how you have things both displayed that are of importance and have used the space so well for working on current projects.
