I picked the hibiscus focus fabric because it brings back wonderful memories--my husband and I lived in Okinawa as newlyweds surrounded by hibiscus so we adopted that as "our" flower back then! When I saw this fabric in the store (completely different from what I had planned), and decided this had to be the focus fabric, I had to pick all new fabrics to make the quilt work.
