Join us on a new 12-month journey as we bring you bring you another spectacular quilt designed especially for TQS by Sue Garman. The 2017 TQS BOM Halo Medallion Quilt features a stunning variation of a feathered star surrounded by multiple scrappy borders. As icing on the cake she has included flying geese rings and delectable mountain blocks. Once again Sue has created a quilt for you that is sure to be a family heirloom in your home.
Finally finished all of those half-scale flying geese. Since I don't like the idea of geese flying into one another in the corners, I had them curve around the corners. Also, I had them fly clockwise instead of counter-clockwise. My quilt top is now 36 inches square (finished size).
Wow! I'd really like to hang out with your Sunday Sew and Sews but it's probably better that I don't. I'd never be able to settle on a color scheme (love the blue and white as well as the red and black you posted a while back!). I'd probably have to redo every border to incorporate some of the alternate uses of color and, of course, the Seminole piecing! All those great ideas!
