Join us on a new 12-month journey as we bring you bring you another spectacular quilt designed especially for TQS by Sue Garman. The 2017 TQS BOM Halo Medallion Quilt features a stunning variation of a feathered star surrounded by multiple scrappy borders. As icing on the cake she has included flying geese rings and delectable mountain blocks. Once again Sue has created a quilt for you that is sure to be a family heirloom in your home.
My "Little Birds Medallion" won Best of Division: Pieced Quilts at the California State Fair. The CA State Fair only displays winning items and most of the larger quilts are hung from the ceiling....way, way up...even the coveted Golden Bear (Best of Show) quilt was so high up that I could not see the fine work. Other than that, I am so thrilled!
Wow what a beautiful quilt, Holly! Congratulations on your win.
My guild is working on our opportunity quilt for 2019-2020 which is a modified Sue Garman medallion. So Sue Garman has been on my mind lately. When I look back through the many pictures of completed quilts, and prize winners among them, I can't help but think how happy this Show and Tell thread would have made Sue Garman.

My version named "Little Birds Medallion" won Best of Show at the Pine Tree Quilt Guild of Nevada County California (my local guild) show May 4-5, 2019. I am SEW happy!
