If I had someone to shovel a path out of my house, shovel the driveway, clean off the car, and clear a path through the mounds left by the snowplows, I wouldn't mind snow either!

I've just been listening to a report on your polar vortex. Sounds like you'll get the 18" of snow and more! That's a lot Ritzy you won't see your flowers for a while :(

Well, we may have Spring flowers trying to come up, but there is still so much snow--there is no telling. They are calling for another 9-18" of snow for us in the next couple of days and a continuance of the extremely cold temperatures. Such is winter in NW Indiana.

Rita that's the reason it's called the Emerald Isle.
It's been sunny all day here in Surrey...at the moment it's 8 degrees, it was 2 this morning.
From the way the birds are behaving Spring is definitely in the air.
Keep warm.

We only received a inch of snow/sleet mix. Not to bad. I used a conversion chart and our 17 degrees F is -8.33 C. I will go sew. :D :D :D

-9 brrrr go back to your sewing room Andree, you need no excuse.

Mild and sunny here, I've finished work early and was going for a bike ride but winds are so strong I'll settle for sitting in the conservatory with a coffee, drizzle cake and mugrug watching the girls feather knickers being blown around

Keep the rain Rita :D

Love the cartoons, really made me laugh, thanks!

Here in Ireland we seem to have settled into a pattern of beautiful (but cold) sunny mornings but by mid afternoon it is bucketing down like a monsoon complete with howling winds. I reckon if it keeps going like this for a few more years Ireland will be the place to come to experience a natural rainforest! On the bright side, the daffodil stems are about 9" out of the ground and the wild garlic is just about ready to eat, so spring is definitely trying it's best to be sprung. :D

Still -9 Celcius around here... and snowing. No gardening yet, so I'll quilt! :D
