Wendy, It's messy. I wouldn't say it is easy, but it isn't real hard either. I found her method works and it is well explained on that show. Skies are the hardest thing to find commercial fabric for landscapes, I think.

To those of you who may wonder from reading my blog, I just finished painting the sky for my new quilt. I did one yesterday that I didn't like. Today's is more successful, I think, although I won't know for sure until it is all dried and head set and rinsed and heat set again. I used what I learned here on TQS from Mickey Lawler's show (#1305). We'll see what it looks like when it is dried.

Please put me out of my misery. Do you remember the name of the quilter who had a TQS blog and showed step by step stages of a portrait of a child ? grandchild. She also made award winning quilts of talls trees and woodland.
