I'm still waiting... Technician only received some of the vital new pets yesterday and couldn't finish setting up and testing my new bernie... Now he's off on vacation for a week.. So I will have to wait at least another ten days or so... Worse things could happen. Better to wait a bit longer and have a perfectly set up machine when Bernie comes home. :)

Thank you for this great link BJ. I have subscribed and started viewing last night. :) :)

Oh that would be frustrating. But I'm glad to hear you will be getting your Bernie soon. :D Also check out the Bernina website for additional videos, projects, hints, and so forth.

After having my B830 LE for nearly a year now I decided to rewatch the mastery classes and see what I might be missing while I've been battling a stupid cold. Wow! These are wonderful way to get the most out of your machine. I haven't finished rewatching them, but already I see things here and there that I was missing. I love my 830 and have not had any problems with it so far. The thing about watching these videos is that they make you inspired and interested in using some of the things on the machine you may not have done yet. You can find them here: http://www.exnovodesign.com/830.html I downloaded them to my own computer for convenience. Just thought if you have an 820 or 830 and haven't yet watched these videos you might want to. :D :D

Sharon, I am sorry about to hear about your teeshirt embroidery, but couldn't resist a laugh.   That's one mistake you'll never make again :!:

Lotti, Congratulations on your new baby too. :D :D   :D :D I hope that your flu goes away soon and you'll be back to your old self.

have opted not to purchase the SW yet - i did not really want the embroidery module - but the 820QE would have been more expensive than the full version - no demo models of the 820QE as they do the training on the full version...
but think it won't be long till i do the SW too - will see how far i get with doing the designs in illustrator and having my colleague convert them as she has the full sw...
the main embroidery design i need is our company logo - and that she has already converted - and as i've been asking her to embroider this... and that.... and could you...

i think she'll volunteer to bring me the design as soon as she knows i have my own machine :) :)

Lotti I am so happy for you. You aren't going to know what to do first, touch everything.....read the book..........sew something.......embroider something....OH MY!!!!! That's kind of where I still am. Soon as I get my fathers estate wrapped up and can stay home long enough I plan to make a quilt, embroider towels, and my list is like a mile long. Goodness I haven't even worked my way through the book that comes with the machine. Oh, and if you get the software make sure you get plenty of ink cartridges and paper cause it's a big book, LOL!!

Congrats and feel better soon :)

Congratulations, Lotti. That was some good news. Did you remember the couching foot? I have it and it works like a dream.

So no 7-series for you :D . I will send healing thoughts for you also.

Thanks BJ! As you can tell I haven't done almost any embroidery, except for a couple of clases with specific projects to work on. I'll add this info to my notes to have it available when I play some more with it.

Hurray Lotti! Welcome to the club, so glad you got a great deal on your new "big baby" and what a good way to celebrate, I love Thai food! Yum, so good! Sending you healing thoughts :)

Congratulations, Lotti! That's so exciting!! I don't have an 830, but I do have the free-motion couching foot. Need to try it soon!

So happy for you, Lotti! You will love your B830!... bet you can't wait to pick it up! May I suggest boiling a knob of fresh ginger (sliced) in three cups of water. After 20 minutes of boiling, turn off heat source, add some honey and drink up. It will not get rid of the flu, but will make your throat feel better and help with any phlegm (old Chinese home remedy). Hope you feel better soon!

I'm so glad to have all of you experts out there... Been following all the B830 natter for the past year or so, and today the unexpected happened...
I went to the local Bernina store to buy the free motion couching foot that Ricky demonstrated on the new show... We got talking, they know I've been waiting for information and pricing on the new 7 series, and asked me if I would be interested in a B830 demo model. Bernina headquarters in steckborn are selling the demo models they had used for their dealer trainings... Would I? Obviously! I'm getting a great deal, they're doing a full service, including all updates and replacing all the important parts to the latest versions... I said I'll think about it - of course my mind was made up before I left the store - we went out for a celebratory Thai meal and I sent him an email with my YES once I got home. YESSSSSS! Due to all the work they're doing on the machine it'll probably be October till I take my new baby home - but soooooooooo happy. That should make me get over this crappy flu!!! :D :) :P  :o        8)
Hooray Lotti!!!!! Congratulations. And yes, it should help with the crappy flu!! :D
