I kept a list of projects and where I was with them. (I started other projects and projects on the list became UFOs. Also, there were projects that never got on the list!) I journaled every day for a couple of years. The journaling was part of working through the Artist Way exercises. I restarted my blog. For a while, I wrote posts and journaled. For the last 11 months, I've just written posts for my blog.
I use my blog as a way to document the projects that I work on and finish. For the last couple of years, I've been participating in the
2018-Finish-A-Long community. It is a low pressure way to help finish and to celebrate the finishes. I like looking at other people's projects at the start and end of the quarter. I am inspired by their posts!
I always put too much on my list; I start new projects that aren't on the list and projects that I think will take me a few hours generally take much longer! Still, posting my intentions and reviewing my intentions post twice a day, has helped me progress on my stitching goals. I look at my list at the beginning of the day and review it again at the end of the day. I tell myself--hey, I've finished that and I've made progress on that one. . .shall I take a break and work on that one for a bit??? At any rate, the post of my goals for the quarter is
here. I've a year end goal to have a net loss (or stitched) 50 yards of fabric from my stash. Every quarter, I review, revamp and post a new list. It is all good!! Sorry for the lengthy reply. Bottom line: Find what works for you and use it!
