Lots of beautiful rows, ladies. There are going to be some gorgeous quilts.

Wendy, Jennifer and Geneva, thanks a lot for the beautiful rows. Sorry it took this long to let you know. So much going on in the last few months but things are calming down now.

I see pretty much everyone I've sent rows got them, except Brenda. Is she ok? I didn't receive one from her either.

Kathy, Barb and Marilyn, I'm working on your rows and hopefully get caught up before the end of this month.

Hugs and blessings to all. :)

Has Rosemarie - Drum mom dropped out of the exchange?
Don't know, I messaged her last September as I had done her row with the other beaches and sent it early rather th an losing it in my sewing room. She was still going through some really bad personal problems that had been dragging on for nearly a year at that point. Might be worth another check in with her...

I'm already looking forward to coming home next Tuesday, Wendy. What a treat to come home to! :cheer: :cheer: :cheer:
My flight hasn't been cancelled yet - so hopefully I'll be going to sleep in Washington DC tonight.
Be safe and keep warm, everyone.

Well I really have posted my row to you Geneva this time though I am sorry to see it go
Also in the post rows are winging their way to Lotti, Luann, Cathy and Andree.

Dawn I'm tempted to repeat my rows to make a quilt for me, it wouldn't match yours but some rows are quite hard to let go, especially when I'm trying things/patterns I've not done before. :)

You never know what direction a project will go, or what inspiration you get from something small like one row! This center row is the row I sent to Lotti...

It was my favorite! I loved the colors, so went out and bought some of the same fabrics for a "future" quilt. Like I don't have enough projects! Anyway, our guild's challenge this year is diamonds. We have to have 5 in our small quilt. We were also reminded that diamonds come in all shapes; square, round, pear, baguette, etc. So, here are my 5 diamonds. The quilt will be just under 24" x 24".
(The rows are only placed onto a piece of black batik for the picture.)

So much fun! Just had to share!

Oh Lotti I've just prepared your row for posting and wrote on the card we need more photos. Those are just wonderful, your camera is performing well. Exciting news about the flat and it'll keep you fit, and run up those stairs. After a couple of times you'll remember to take your inhalers!
Thanks for all the news I love reading your posts. :)

I put the missing row on my blog here

Hello All

Just checking in to let you know I havn't forgotten you.

Yes, I'm way behind - i have five rows to do - I know who the're all for and they're started - but I probably won't be able to finish and send them until i'm in Canada for my vacation at the end of may.

After being out of the office for a full month, and working the absolute minimum for another month, i'm breathing almost normal again. The good news is, I managed to use up all of my overtime, I had a great long weekend in the mountains where the air is clear and much better for slightly impaired lungs, and if all goes well I will be moving into a slightly larger and brighter apartment in June! Yahooooo :silly: :woohoo: :silly:

But, the new apartment is on the fourth floor - four flights of stairs as there is no elevator, and I have been in this one for 25 years during which time I cleared three houses... so i've started a major clear-out this weekend - but had to stop when I managed an asthma attack - 14 garbage bags 0f stuff gone to recycling and only the clothing is done... it's going to take forever!

This tuesday I'm off to Washington DC for a week (we have a booth at the Cardiology Congress). What a year to have the congress there, I've a feeling we'll have a lot fewer participants than normal. For some reason we're getting a lot o flast minute advertising opportunities, quite a few offers for hotel rooms, but obviously still not at reasonable prices. And after I had been told by numerous restaurants that they were booked out and couldn't take my booking for 20-25 persons, all of a sudden they send me emails saying that they now have room for us... hoping all goes well and we and our exhibition goods won't have any trouble at customs.

When I get back the fun continues... the plan is to get everything sorted with hopefully lots of stuff disposed of by the end of April and then everything I possibly do without for a month or two, packed by mid may as i'll be in Canada from 20th may until 17th June - back just in time to move and clean before I have to turn over the old apartment on 30th June. Evenings and weekends will be busy in the next little while - but I hope to get the sewing machine set up and going again by mid July at the very latest. :silly:  :silly:

Here a few pictures from my weekend in the mountains

All the very best to everyone

Has Rosemarie - Drum mom dropped out of the exchange?

I got a package quite some time ago. I questioned if everyone had gotten their pkg from me, as I had sent them December of 2015. She informed me that she had not gotten something. I sent another pkg to her, the only one that said their pkg had NOT arrived. She did respond that the replacement had arrived, but never posted about it here. For some reason,, I thought she actually worked for TQS, but I'm not sure. Hopefully, she will see these posts and respond, so we know how she's doing.

Ive been pretty busy this past year and I'm glad I opted to get those pkgs out at the onset of the rowing. My latest project has been to put together a workshop for Palmetto Fiber Arts Guild. I put a copy of the brochure up on my blog, www.letscreatetoday.blogspot.com
I'm hoping to get back into my sewing room, its been quite some time since I heard the hum of my machine, and I miss that sound.
