Not wanting to be the "ugly American" I was careful not to say "wrong" side of the road. But the fact that description was in my head at all tells me something about myself.

and I generally use the scientific way to write the date: yyyy-mm-dd (year-month-day), this allows me to sort easily by date, even when the computer does not know it as a date (document versions and other stuff). and yes - i always get royally confused when i receive things dated the "american" way - especially hate it for official stuff like tickets and things - i also hate air tickets that use am and pm - there are 24 hours in the day and for flights and things it is so much easier to use all 24 - especially if you travel back and forth - of course this is me ....

The US military write day/month/year also. I don't know why the rest of the US write it differently. In my genealogy program, it doesn't matter how you write it, they automatically turn it to day/month/year. I wonder if the camera knows what country we are in. I don't remember what I did when I first set up my camera. Just for info.

And the extra House points go to ...Andree, yes the date is read day/month/year, rather than month/day/year - this always confuses me when I see mention to 9/11 as I think 'now I am sure that it didn't happen in November, silly American's, messing up the date again'

Dawn I hope it isn't 2nd of March, that would make me 2 rows behind, instead of just one  , and I would miss my birthday  :pinch: And as we all know, having birthday's are good for our health, the more we have, the longer we will live :P B)

Ah, yes, you are probably right, Andrèe! I forget that the U.S. writes the date differently than the rest of the world. And Lois, drives on the opposite side of the road! And, uses inches, feet, and yards. How did all of this happen? Whose responsible for it? We ARE different, aren't we!!!!

Guess it's the same as driving on the left side of the road. :)

Wow, Rosemary, you now have a great stash of leaf fabrics! What a haul! Aren't quilter friends wonderful? BTW...........you seem to be a month ahead of us here in the U.S.. It was only February 2 here yesterday! (Not March 2 as your camera shows.) :silly: Just me being observant.

Owing some pictures on this thread:-

First up is my fabric from Luann - gorgeous, but I sure cannot cut it up.

Next, my fabrics from Terrie and a wonderful card.

Finally, some fabrics and a doorstopper from Rosemarie - she is still with us, just life is hectic and she hasn't been able to check in and keep up with us recently.

These bright zig-zags I would not necessarily have chosen to buy for myself, but you know what, I am really glad to have them, as they will push me to explore. That is what is so fun about exchanging rows/fabrics.

Glad the rows arrived safely and you are both happy with them :-). I was going to do them in different colors, but realized I really liked how the blues flowed together and couldn't find anything else in my stash that transitioned as well :silly: It was a twisted log cabin pattern - one I've been wanting to try for awhile and finally had a small enough project to give it a shot!

Still eagerly watching the mail for my January row - not sure how long post usually takes from the UK (I'm assuming about 2 weeks based on what my friend has sent me from various locations abroad in the past) but I'll let you know as soon as it arrives!

Hello Andree, yes the address for Brenda is correct in the file.
I have also checked Dorothy's address, and added the "Unit 280" as per her message here.
So far the correction has been made on the excel file. I will do a new PDF when I'm at the office tomorrow ;0

Brenda, I thought about asking you if you'd like to meet, and then thought that might seem odd. Definitely something I'm open to, though! I'll have to see what's halfway between us......(also, I am chuckling that Terrie and Jen *both* sent us identical items, so thus far, our quilts will be quite the same! How fun!!

Dawn, Rosemary, I can't speak for others, but I'm entirely open to if I get repeats (or not). Do whatever you are comfortable with, please! Even if you pick the same block idea as someone else, it's quite unlikely to be just exactly the same.

Jennifer/Heather: Lovely row!

Please: do we have the correct address for Brenda in our EXCEL file? Please confirm if it was copied wrong or if we need to change our file.

Andrée

yes, Andre'e, the address in the file is correct. I had copied it down wrong when I wrote it on the envelope. No worries! :)
