I took my Baby Lock Esante ESE2 machine in because the push button thread cutter wasn't working.
This was 2 1/2 -3 months ago. I kept calling the local sew and vac repair shop I took it to. They didn't get to it for a few weeks. They struggled with trying to fix it. They never called me to let me know what was going on. I always had to initiate the calls. Finally they gave me the choice to send it back to Baby Lock for an estimate of what it would cost for them to fix it. The local repair shop estimated it would cost 150 -200$ for Baby Lock to fix it, so I decided I could afford that and it was worth shipping it to them. About 2-3 weeks later I called. The local shop said it would cost 400-500$ to fix it. I said send it back please, that was too much. I would rather cut thread with a scissors. 21/2 weeks later still I had heard no word. I called them 4 days ago and they said it was en route. I called them today and they said the reason it would cost so much more than they thought was because more was wrong. Now I have a feeling I will be getting back a machine that doesn't work. How much is a newJanome or Bernina ? I am probably going to have to pay for this shipping to and from Baby Lock. And I don't understand why the shipping is taking so long. Thanks for any insight anyone can give me. Jan
