Happy Birthday, Rita. It's a rainy cold day here. Hope your celebration is warm and cosy with lots of good treats. Don't want to think about those dietary New Year's resolutions. Fortunately, for me, I love all foods even the ones that are good for me. Even so it doesn't make it easy to give up the fattening stuff. Enjoy the day and think about the resolutions tomorrow.

I thought I was slipping under the radar this year Renata - thank you for the good wishes. My age and my girth seem to be catching up with each other LOL. I have really enjoyed the food this Christmas and as we speak DH is preparing more food for my birthday dinner. I guess I know what my New Year's resolution will be. Happy Birthday to all the other Capricorns out there and a Happy New Year to everybody too.

... my birthday was on the 29th December - a really crap time to have a birthday - but not as bad as Christmas Day!...
Rita ratted on me and my birthday earlier this month. Unlike her, I did not need a little birdie from across the pond to tell me that today is her birthday! I just had to be able to remember that I read about it last year on the Forum! A VERY HAPPY BIRTHDAY to you, Rita and MANY HAPPY RETURNS!

Thanks everyone! Happy birthday, Lois! Like Renata I should have remembered your bday. Our anniversary is 12/21 and I've always felt a special bond with you because my mother's name is Lois...although you are "age wise" my younger sister. Won't be late with wishes next year. Now we just have to find out what day Capricorn Susan was born~ or did I miss that, too??

You can always celebrate the Chinese way: after your 60th, which is considered the really big birthday (and comes complete with a delicious banquet for family and friends to celebrate your becoming a "senior"), then you just celebrate a birthday for every decade you reach (70, 80, 90).
I'm going to try and do a better job at remembering your birthday in the future: you share it with one of my sisters, and frankly, the first time I saw your avatar in the pink suit, I thought I was looking at her!

Thank you very much, Renata, but to tell you the truth I think I've decided to stop having birthdays. It's the only way I know to get through my stash. Or…. now that I think about that one I may have to reconsider. If I stop having birthdays I never will get through my stash.
