I loved this challenge! I was surprised to realize that so many of the fabrics from my stash have dots, swirls, and star motifs! I think I got a bit carried away, but it was lots of fun, just the same!! THANK YOU, Alex, for keeping me sane all these months we have been stuck at home!!

Thank you again Alex. I was hoping you would show us how to appliqué and once again, you delivered. I learned so much with this project and it was the perfect size for a quick project. I wanted my fabric to represent me. I'm from Maryland, my spouse is a chef and sommelier, the Derby is always around my birthday (except this year), we love picking blueberries and why not have purple hair in fantasy land?

I think I’m almost ready to quilt today. This doesn’t come naturally or easily. The tree is for the genealogy of my family. The rest is very literal; I’m very analytical.

I think these posted faces are fantastic
I watched Simply Quilts, and am so happy to have found you

Gorgeous! Love the colors. Love the flowers. How did you do the great lettering?
Padma99, I cut the lettering out on my Cricut machine. First time I'd tried that and learned that I first needed to adhere fusible to the fabric before telling the machine to cut. I definitely will use this on future projects!

Thank you Alex for this face challenge which has taken me out of my comfortable box and helped push my creative limits. I will be making more faces! (I hope this photo isn't sideways!)

Kudos!

This was so out of my comfort zone but lots of fun once I got into the groove. Greetings from Down Under.

This is my first time posting so I hope I get it right. I had a tough time with the hair - my sons say that I have OCD.

Used my selvages and thought they'd make perfect hair. The face pin has the initials of my 6 grandkids attached. Had fun doing this.

Getting ready to fuse her down. I used circles to represent things about me to the right and top. The circles to the left represent my granddaughters and things we do together. I did not want to cover the hair as it not only represents my natural curl but also the design looks like one of my favorite designs to use when I longarm quilt.
