These are all great, every single one! I haven't made any more baskets in a couple weeks. Working on a couple early Christmas gifts. Maybe this weekend I will get back to working on them. You all are inspirational!

Hapi2so, I love your quilt! Purple is one of my favorite colors; it is so delicate . I love the border and the green that you have added! So lovely and sweet!

I'd like to try putting in a flange before I add a border. I just want to add a bit more of the gold color from the basket handles - what is the recommended finished width of a flange?
Thanks,
Laurel
Sound like a great idea to add a pop of color. I think the width is personal preference. I took a couple screen shots of videos you can type in your search bar to watch how to
calculate. I would audition a couple different sizes to see which looks most pleasing to you. I have used 1/4 inch on wall hangings and 1/2 inch on lap quilts.
If you want 1/4 inch showing you would need the 1/4 inch plus a 1/4 inch seam allowance and then multiply by 2 so it will have a fold. So you would cut the strip 1 inch wide.
For a half inch you add the seam allowance, 1/4 and that gives you 3/4 inch , then multiply by 2, so you cut it 1 an 1/2 inches. Hope this helps. Please post a picture
I would love to see how it turns out. HelenW
PS You could also do a flange binding to give a 1/8 pop of color at the edge. Watch the Jordon Fabrics video to see the process for that.

I must say how much I have enjoyed seeing all the quilts!! I have had a small relapse in my after chemo recovery, so I could mot sew. I was doing so well and getting baskets, etc done but I stood out in cold weather on election day.....I thought I was stronger!! but lesson learned!.....but by Sunday I should be a shiny new penny again!!! and get back to work; plus the next two projects......Thankyou Ales!! and thank you all you quilters!! I had a lot of tough neighborhoods to work with, but it came out great. This was a great thinking experience. I don’t think I’ve done this much math in years. Thank you Alex.

This quilt is finished and it was great fun. Thanks Alex. I learned a lot about different sizes putting them together. I think the most difficult for me was not losing points with different size blocks.

What a fun quilt to make - I love symmetry so adjusted mine accordingly. Especially loved the baskets with handles including the 4 inch block. Many thanks for a great class.

Finished my top. Had to change from on point, couldn’t figure the math and this worked. I do love it. I’m thinking of adding a final border with some floating flying geese. I love your style of teaching and really look forward to next classes. Thanks so much for all the cool tips and tools.
