In Episode 1709, meet Jane Hall, who has been fascinated with the traditional Pineapple block for an amazing 25 years.  This oh-so-clever gal will amaze you with the infinite design variety you can create using this one simple block.

Then Susan Brubaker Knapp (Episode 901) joins us again, to guide you through the process of taking photos and re-creating them, using paint and threadwork.  It's a double header you don't want to miss!

This is an actual leaf! Occasionally we stumble across a fascinating artists we want to share with you.  It wasn't until the age of 35 that Lorenzo Duran from Cáceres, Spain began to work his precision leaf art, after watching a catepillar eating a leaf.

"Failing to find information about the 'leaf cutting art' that I meant to do, I developed my own technique for doing it, which went through a long trial-and-error process, until I found a good way of cutting my designs so that they could be framed and preserved for several years, as any other work of art."

His painstaking work begins with the use of a surgical scalpel and dental device to remove elements from a leaf without damaging the leaf itself.

Paula Nadelstern (Episodes 307, 508), known for her stunning Kaleidoscopic quilts, is also a very successful fabric designer, but it doesn't necessarily come easily. With a new line coming out at Quilt Market, We All Sew asked Paula what inspires her designs and color.
