If you loved the hand work created by Sandra Leichner (Episode 1701),
we think you will be equally impressed by the techniques of these world-class teachers.

Liuxin Newman (Episode 310) shows you how the Chinese Weaver stitch
can make even the smallest of appliqué shapes perfect.

Nancy Brown (Episode 701) finds that hand basting appliqué elements together before sewing
helps her to achieve perfect results every time.

Judith Baker Montano (Episode 1212) shows you how to take embroidery stitches from traditional to art-worthy.

Lenore created this wonderful quilt from photos taken in Brittany, France.  She writes, "A class of students was sketching buildings in this old village. I used my fusing/fabric painting technique.  Many different fabrics were used, including Northcott Stonehenge prints."  The quilt is pieced, appliquéd and quilted all by machine.  Lenore exhibited it at the Denver National Quilt Festival VIII and it won Best Wall Quilt at AQS Grand Rapids, 2013.
