In the case of Sue Garman, she has been busy with another stunner of a project, based on a quilt featuring just two colors. How can you make a quilt complicated AND exciting with only two colors, you ask? Check out "Blue Heaven," as Sue is calling it, and the piecing accuracy that it requires. On December 8, 2015 Douglas Tompkins died from the results of a kayaking accident. He was famous to the quilting world for his involvement in the Esprit quilt collection. He specialized in collecting Amish Quilts. Janneken Smuker, a quilting author, remembers Douglas with several vintage pictures.
