It's always great fun to sneak a peek at an artist's worktable to see the current WIP.  In the case of Sue Garman, she has been busy with another stunner of a project, based on a quilt featuring just two colors.  How can you make a quilt complicated AND exciting with only two colors, you ask?  Check out "Blue Heaven," as Sue is calling it, and the piecing accuracy that it requires.  This quilt is definitely NOT for the faint of heart. The second photo shows the original quilt that stopped her in her tracks

Is this fabric or the real thing?  Mister Finch's textile art has a way with fabric that will astound you.

"This holiday season, New York’s Steven Kasher Gallery is transporting visitors to the magical world of Mister Finch. From December 12 to December 23 the jewelry designer turned textile artist turned sculptor will display his fantastical sculptures. Modelled on flora and fauna, the pieces are also fanciful contradictions; beautiful, yet haunting, dangerous, yet alluring." (Excerpt from Wallpaper).

See an exhibit of his current work here.  By the way.  The fungi image in the Newsletter is the real thing captured along a walk in the woods of England.
