This vintage video will have you reliving your Home Ec days as it walks you through the "Simplicity System of Sewing" while making a jumper from start to finish. You'll learn how to add a facing, put in a zipper, and why you should "hang" your fabric overnight before sewing. The dresses are super cute, wish we still wore them...

Sisters Country is in full swing with the Quilters Affair. And, this Saturday the 41st Sisters Outdoor Quilt Show happens! A one day outdoor quilt show with over 1200 quilts hung from all the buildings around town! The best part...it's FREE!!! For the next couple of weeks we'll be sharing photos of this wonderful event!!! Our town takes all things QUILTS pretty darn serious. A couple of years ago a tree fell on top of the Ski Inn, an iconic eatery at the beginning of town. The building has been an eyesore as it waits for that perfect buyer...so what's a town to do...well a few local artisans got together and cover it in a wonderful blue jean quilt!!! Quilts can always solve a problem :).
The QuiltWorks Gallery had a wonderful display of animal themed quilts that I wanted to share with you...I know you will be inspired and get a kick out of them!
Mike Denton did this fabulous thread painting using upholstery thread!
My dear friend Marilyn created this wonderful horse quilt called Chinese Horses which is all hand quilted!
Enjoy the rest of the slide show and we'll see you back here next Wednesday!
