In March 2009, David Taylor was set to be a guest on the show.

Alex talked to David a day before the episode was taped and he showed her his quilt in progress. Alex instantly changed the taping from what was scheduled and asked David to reveal to the audience what he was working on, what techniques he was using, and how his colors and shadings were achieved. There is no painting on these quilts, just fabric selection.

After viewing the slideshow, make sure to watch David's Episode 406: Following the Artist's Process

I have a short list of artists that I look for at Houston every year. He is always on the list. Love seeing the detail, texture and creative use of fabric and thread and most important the main character in the quilt. Stunning work always!

Just plain "WOW". I could run through those again and again, looking at the intricate detail. The piano also had much to do with the viewing as it was as bold and to the point as the quilts themselves.
