Here's a quick update from the Kristy's Quilt Project: Brandy Lynn sends out a huge thank you to the Alex and Ricky fans who have backed the project so far! You've brought in over $500 towards the goal. They are 60% funded with 9 days to go! You can still have a chance to back the project in exchange for an early copy of the book this spring. If every one of you can find a friend and convince them to participate, we'll have a quilting story in the hands of children everywhere this spring. Thank you for sharing the heritage of quilting with a child! Go to The Kristy's Quilt Project to participate today!
Metamorphosis ~ Clothing & Identity, is now showing at the San Jose Museum of Quilts & Textiles.
Metamorphosis: Clothing & Identity is a retrospective of the San Francisco Bay Area Art-to-Wear movement and traces the evolution of the rich history and legacy of this genre from its inception in the 1960s to the current group of second generation designers that are creating their own one-of-a-kind, handmade, artful garments. The exhibition will also present a “metamorphosis” of clothes that transcends functional attire and becomes sculptural manifestations of symbolic ideas that challenge our notion of clothing and identity.

Quilts and Color the Pilgrim/Roy Collection is coming to the the Museum of Fine Arts in Boston.
“Quilts and Color” celebrates the vibrant color palette and inventive design seen in the acclaimed Pilgrim/Roy Quilt Collection. The exhibition features 60 distinctive quilts from the renowned collection and is the first to explore how, over five decades, trained artists Paul Pilgrim and Gerald Roy searched out and collected quilts with bold, eye-popping designs that echoed the work of mid-20th century Abstract Expressionist and Op Artists.
The exhibition opens April 6 and runs through June 27, 2014 at the Annn and Graham Gund Gallery (LG31).
Can't get a better recommendation than one from Karen McTavish:
"Pretty Awesome stuff if you ask me! No more bleeding fabrics! Even safe on silk!"
What does it do? It erases those blue water soluble marker lines. The blue lines that are suppose to come out with water, but don't.

Here's a great little card from Kari at U Create. It's 10 Different Ways to cut a Fat Quarter.
Jeffrey Frey stopped by the TQS booth at Road to California to ask us for feedback on his product. So, we thought we'd ask you what you think about it. It is called the Artistic Hanging Solution™ and is a method for hanging your quilt that doesn't require a sleeve, or more than one person, to help you hang the quilt. You can also select the moulding to compliment the interior design space in which you are hanging the quilt. Watch the video and tell us what you think.
