Not everyone has a design wall as nice as this one.  That's Philippa Naylor on the ladder in her studio putting together, appropriately enough, a quilt entitled, "Wall Flower."

What do you do if you don't have a wall?  Do you lay it out on the floor? Do you go to a friend's house or your local quilt shop for help?

Have you tried a pull-down wall, a fold-up wall, or just some flannel on the garage door?

Let use know where you look at your latest designs as you are creating them.

Wandering around the International Quilt Festival in Houston, you never know what you might come across. This time it was something a bit unusual, a little bit larger than your average burger, and fully quilted!

Spring has officially arrived, although in some parts of the world it's not that clear.  In any case, what are you doing to celebrate Spring?  Are you doing some Spring cleaning in your sewing room?  Has a case of fabric been sent off to a charity?  Have those orphan quilt blocks found their way into a philanthropy quilt?  Or have you just decided to start something new?  Let us know, what's new for Spring.

The Postmark Deadline for entries to the Denver National Quilt Festival VII Quilt Competition, sponsored by Mancuso Show Management, is TODAY!

The theme this year is Different Directions. From the beautiful mountain summits in the great state of Colorado, you can see many directions. What direction are you taking with your quilting?

$6,000 in prizes will be awarded to the winning quilts of this prestigious competition.

If you want to attend the show, it will be held May 3-6 at the Denver Merchandise Mart.  Hours are 10-6, except Sunday, 10-4.  Admission is $12 and includes re-admission.  Sunday admission is $10.
