Now that Alex and John have a grandbaby to take care of, a little help in the burp department might come in handy.

Take a look at these simple burp cloths for babies with a designer touch from Christie Batterman at the "See How We Sew" blog.

They are a great gift you can put together in no time at all.

4681_wall.jpgNot everyone has a design wall as nice as this one.  That's Philippa Naylor on the ladder in her studio putting together, appropriately enough, a quilt entitled, "Wall Flower."

What do you do if you don't have a wall?  Do you lay it out on the floor? Do you go to a friend's house or your local quilt shop for help?

Have you tried a pull-down wall, a fold-up wall, or just some flannel on the garage door?

Let use know where you look at your latest designs as you are creating them.

Philippa is featured in Episode 606: Showstopping Trapunto. Check your library to see if this show is yours.  Also, check and see if you have gift certificates for free shows and series.

4673_burger.jpgWandering around the International Quilt Festival in Houston, you never know what you might come across. This time it was something a bit unusual, a little bit larger than your average burger, and fully quilted!

What other unusual items have you seen made and quilted?

Were they this delicious?

Spring has officially arrived, although in some parts of the world it's not that clear.  In any case, what are you doing to celebrate Spring?  Are you doing some Spring cleaning in your sewing room?  Has a case of fabric been sent off to a charity?  Have those orphan quilt blocks found their way into a philanthropy quilt?  Or have you just decided to start something new?  Let us know, what's new for Spring.

4631_electricquiltcom.jpgMost of us are aware of Electric Quilt and Quilt-Pro, but what other software do you use to help you with your quilting?  Is it truly quilting software, or is it something you've adapted to help you with your work?  How do you use it? Let us know what's out there.4631_quiltpro_systems_home_page.jpg

We all know about The Quilt Life magazine in America, but have you heard about other international quilt magazines?  How about Irish Quilting from Ireland or Quilt Italia from Italy?  Submit a comment and let us know what quilt magazines are available in your country.
