Are you going to the Houston Quilt Festival?  Last week we shared a project for keeping that all essential camera close.  But, do you have a place to put your nametag and all of the other little bits you collect while walking the show?  Why not make your own quilt show essential bag we found at The Seasoned Homemaker. Wear it around your neck so your hands are free to do lots of fabric fondling.

Heading off to Houston for the quilt show soon?  Do you have a creative strap for that camera?  This week's quick project from We All Sew is an adjustable camera strap that is much gentler on your neck AND it's much more attractive.

Using a variety of fun fabrics from your stash, you can whip this up just in time to hit the show floor.

With the holiday gifting season right around the corner we thought we would give you a head start.  Over the next few weeks, we will share with you a variety of creative gift ideas that are fun, easy to make and unique. 

Coasters are always a welcome gift, but why not make them even more outstanding than the commercially produced available almost everywhere.  We loved this idea (An Oregon Cottage) of using pages from favorite books or sheets of music.  We thought it might be fun to take the idea a bit further to show a love of quilting:

• Print pages using detailed images of your quilted work
  
• Print pages from favorite quilt pattern directions
  
• Print pages of quilt designs or interesting patterns from your vacations
