We hope you have enjoyed the trip through the Pacific International Quilt Festival.  Now that you are inspired, show us what you are working on.  Go to the new Feature "Show & Tell" (under Alex's smile) and see what your community members are creating in  "What are You Working On?".  Then add your current project. 

We will also soon have our "Challenge" ready to start.  It is going to be an easy one to finish, because life is so busy right now.  Keep your eyes open this week for the announcement.

Ok - you might have noticed we now have a new play area on the site - The TQS challenge page. Over the past few days we have tested the area to make sure it is sea worthy - and YES it is!!! So, you tell us - what should our first TQS challenge be? ARJJ will decide on a few finalists, then you will vote - In addition to spear heading the first TQS challenge the winner will also receive a single series subscription!

All weekend we will feature a selection of the Quilts at Quilting in the Garden. Alex has given you a video overview. (If you haven't seen her videos, they are in two blogs below this one.) Today we feature Joen Wolfrom. Click on "Challenges" on the Purple bar and then hit the "View Entries" button.

Put your mouse on the thumbnail and it will get bigger. Click on the thumbnail and it will get even bigger. There are descriptions telling you more about the quilts. Come back later today for an update on Joen.

It takes a master artist to follow DT on the same day, and we had just the person to do it.  EC is an expert of the craft, a great teacher and a lot of fun.  Her quilts have won ribbons over and over, and one is up for a "master quilt" status.  What a day!

Check back later today for "Open House Sunday".  Alex is putting together some of the sewing room pictures in a series of blogs.  WOW!

Sorry for the Gif overlapping but I want you to see these quilts.  DT decided to start quilting and won ribbons right away.  It turns out he is also a teacher you won't want to miss.  He is very detailed and likes to stay in his comfort box.  I suppose that's okay when your box is this big!  You'll love this show. You traditional quilters will be stealing his approach and applying it to your quilts too.

What fun RH was.  The "R" could stand for Raven, but it doesn't.  A wonderful artist and a great teacher.  Her quilts were colorful and riveting.

Also included is an associate that Alex worked with at "Simply Quilts".  She has written a murder mystery that revolves around a quilt shop.  It's never a good idea to upset someone with that many pairs of scissors.

Bunny Rose was back with more items from the TQS Treasure Chest.  Bunny is a quilt shop owner but she would never murder anyone.. would she.. huh ...nah..maybe....?

Our latest article links you to a profile in the Ventura County Star that tells the bittersweet story behind Jake Finch's new book, Comfort Quilts from the Heart. (Published by C&T Publishing). Jake wanted to make a quilt for her niece, who was diagnosed with a rare form of cancer at age 18. The difficulty of finding appropriate projects to make for someone who was sick inspired Jake to write her book. You have to read this poignant story. Just click on the link to read it.
